Nomfro Technologies’ Entrepreneurship Empowerment Project is a project by Nomfro Technologies, Abuja, Nigeria, that seeks to identify and support innovative startups of Africans whose activities can create solutions and employment in Africa (or Europe in cooperation with Ubuntusoft e.U., Vienna, Austria).

The project provides African startups access to free business websites or e-commerce websites and digital marketing strategies that make SMEs more robust online as consumers are increasingly turning to the internet to purchase goods and services.

So far, the project has empowered more than 200 African startups with over $500 worth of credit each in Nomfro’s first edition in 2021. In the second edition, in 2022, 500 start ups will once again be given the opportunity to build their online presence. The credit given will be used to cover costs of business websites or e-commerce website development and mentorship program for participants.
