What is and who needs a VE (Virtual Expert) / VA (Virtual Assistant) / Freelancer? This was the first question that we discussed and it turned out that nearly every business owner could profit from outsourcing some tasks. In addition, a comparison of the costs of an employee and the costs of a virtual expert showed that it was, even more cost-effective to use the services of a virtual expert and profit from his (or her) entrepreneurial mindset. Working with someone who understands that his (or her) own business success is directly related to the success they bring to their customers is a real win-win situation. It was interesting to see all the kinds of skills that could be used to earn money online by helping others. We were shown some websites of virtual expert associations where we could get training and could network with others.
We talked about various channels that could be used to get hired as virtual experts. Some were international ones, some were local ones, like the Nigerian platforms. To even know how much we should charge per hour we were introduced to a spreadsheet that would calculate it by taking into concern all kinds of expenses.
Another fascinating idea was to not only consider English as our working language but also some other languages that primarily are spoken in Europe. This would be beneficial for us as we would be able to charge customers with our very competitive hourly rates. The topic was rounded up with tips on how to start a virtual expert business.
On the last day of this block of training, we discovered what affiliate marketing is and how it works. We got to know affiliate marketing channels and why to use affiliate marketing at all. We ended the session with helpful affiliate marketing strategies.
